01,Liquids all have "freezing point". When the temperature of the liquid is lower than this "freezing point" temperature, it will solidify to form a solid, while the deionized water or distilled water will solidify during the solidification process. damage. In order to prevent the cooling liquid from damaging the laser tube, output head and water cooler, there are three solutions:
1) Do not turn off the water cooler at night if there is no blackout in the local area. At the same time, for the sake of energy saving, please adjust the temperature of the low-temperature and normal-temperature water to 5 ~ 10 ℃ to ensure that the coolant is in a circulating state and the temperature is not lower than the freezing point.
2) Drain the laser and coolant in the water cooler after each shutdown.
3) Use antifreeze as the coolant: When the use environment often has power outages and does not have the conditions to drain the coolant daily, you must use the antifreeze.
Antifreeze's base liquid is generally composed of alcohols and water, which requires high boiling point and flash point, high specific heat and conductivity, low temperature viscosity, not easy to foam, and does not corrode metal parts, rubber hoses, etc. When selecting or preparing antifreeze, its freezing point should be about 5 ℃ lower than the minimum temperature of the use environment.
02 Choice of antifreeze
Use professional brand antifreeze, do not use ethanol instead.
It is recommended to use foreign brands such as Dowhem SR-1 or CLARIANT from Dow Chemical. There are two types of antifreeze suitable for laser systems:
1) Antifrogen®N glycol-water type;
2) Antifrogen®L propylene glycol-water type;
Note: Any antifreeze solution cannot completely replace deionized water and cannot be used for a long time throughout the year. After winter, the pipes must be cleaned with deionized water or distilled water, and the use of deionized water or distilled water as a coolant should be restored.
If conditions permit, we still recommend improving the electricity environment, keeping the water cooler off, or upgrading the cooling water circuit design to make daily cooling water draining simple and fast.
03 Precautions
1) When the external temperature is ≥5 ° C, the water cooler can use the electric heating mode (automatic intermittent opening)
2) When the outside temperature is less than 5 ℃, the water cooler needs to use continuous cooling mode (automatic continuous opening);
3) Regardless of the working mode of the water cooler, the machine tool and laser (low voltage) need to be turned on to maintain water circulation and other auxiliary equipment can be turned off;
4) When the equipment needs to work normally, the water cooler must be kept in continuous cooling mode;
5) If the machine is stopped for a long time, the water tank should be emptied, and clean air should be used for deep emptying. At the same time, the water in the water pump and water cooler filter should be emptied.
